FRANCESCA RUSSO JOINS ESPINOSA | TRUEBA, PL

The law firm of Espinosa | Trueba PL is pleased to announce that Francesca Russo, formerly an equity member in the litigation department at Kugler Peretz Kaplan & Berlin, PL (“KPKB”), has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Francesca specializes in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.  She has worked with a broad range of clients both domestic and international on all phases of the litigation process before federal and state courts. Francesca brings with her substantial experience in various areas of commercial litigation, including breach of contract and tort claims, civil theft, trade secrets, trademark litigation, transportation litigation, real estate litigation, corporate and business litigation, directors and officers liability, and fraud.  As part of Espinosa | Trueba PL, Francesca plans to increase her focus in intellectual property litigation.

Francesca previously served as chair of the international law section of the Florida Bar and as editor of the section’s International Law Quarterly. Francesca is admitted to the courts of Florida, the Federal District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Federal Circuit as well as the U.S. Court of International Trade. Francesca is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Italian American Chamber of Commerce, the French-American Chamber of Commerce, the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Patron Committee and the Quebec Chamber of Commerce. Francesca has given numerous talks and presentations to various organizations.

Before moving to the United States, Francesca practiced as a civil law attorney handling civil and commercial litigation in Quebec, Canada, where she is still admitted to practice law. Francesca helps to buttress Espinosa | Trueba PL’s international practice through her fluency in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

The firm was founded in June of 2008 by Jorge Espinosa and William Trueba, former partners in the intellectual property department at KPKB.
